MOSCOW, June 24. /ITAR-TASS/. The airport of Crimea’s Simferopol has been servicing more than 90 daily flights from mid-June, says a report released by the Rosaviatsiya Federal Air Transport Agency on Tuesday upon request by ITAR-TASS.

On June 15, more than 6,300 passengers arrived in Simferopol on 50 flights, and more than 5,400 people left Simferopol (45 flights). On Monday, June 24, the airport serviced more than 11,600 in-and outbound passengers on 86 flights.

From June 1 to 23, Russian airlines had carried more than 209,500 passengers to and from Simferopol, which is 2.6 times more than in June 2013, when Crimea was part of Ukraine.

All in all, Russian carriers have brought to the peninsula and back almost 468,500 passengers since Crimea joined Russia in mid-March 2014.
